Client: St Bernadette’s School
Value: £350,000
Commercial Contracts Manager: Andrew Kelsey
Site Manager: Jason Banks

In April 2020 we handed over 3 new classrooms for St Bernadette’s primary school. The classrooms were very similar to a block that Kelsey’s had built 20 years prior when working with the same project team. CPA Associates from Leicestershire who are affiliated with the Roman Catholic diocese based in Nottingham managed the contract which lasted 30 weeks.

Work comprised the demolition of an existing timber classroom that the school had been using for over 30 years. Our director, Matthew Robinson and trainee Quantity Surveyor, Rebecca Dixon were both taught in the building. They both attended site during demolition works to witness the end of an era for the school.

Whilst at the school Matthew took the time to do some social value work with the pupils and hosted a site visit and observation session. School councillors were invited to attend the site with teachers and ask our site manager and Matthew questions about the building process.
