Client: The Old School House
Value: £600,000
Commercial Contracts Manager: Simon Taylor
Site Manager: Jason Banks

GS Kelsey completed a £600,000 renovation and upgrade to the existing Old Schoolhouse in South Ormsby, Lincolnshire. The designs were produced by Takero Shimazaki Architects from London. Due to the covid-19 pandemic the architect couldn’t visit the site as regularly as first intended. Collaborative and remote working methods with our contracts team ensured their vision for the facility was realised.

Designed and built as a multi-purpose facility the rooms can be used for various events and/or businesses. Sympathetic restoration to the elevations has restored the building to its former glory.

The client insisted on incorporating sustainable energy solutions into the project with the use of a ground source heat pump. The building sits beside the South Ormsby Estate that was featured on Countryfile at the end of 2020.
