GS Kelsey are delighted to welcome a new trainee quantity surveyor to the ranks this month. Rebecca Dixon joins the 30+ strong team after successfully applying to become the company’s next trainee. A former student of St Bedes School and John Leggott College Rebecca joins the company with a commendable set of A Level results. The company will sponsor Rebecca on a degree apprenticeship quantity surveying BSc Hons degree. This commences in September 2019 and will be delivered in partnership with Leeds Beckett University. Rebecca was involved in a Women in STEM initiative with North Lincolnshire Council, and from a work experience placement came an interview opportunity. Successful, she was selected to take on the trainee QS role.

Whilst speaking with a local newspaper, our director had this to say of the appointment.

“Rebeccas appointment rounds off our controlled growth plan. We see the next year as one for consolidation, whilst monitoring external factors affecting the construction industry,” he said. “Challenges and risk I’ve spoken of before still exist but we remain competitive. Our experiences and expertise help make building affordable and we want to assist local business with expansion plans in spite of uncertain trading conditions.”

We’d like to wish Rebecca all the best in her new role and hope that shes settles in seamlessly.
